Patricia “Pat” Vikemyr, age 73, of Viroqua, passed away at the Vernon Manor in Viroqua on February 5th, 2018. She was born on January 13th, 1945 to Lloyd & Mildred (Storer) Miller in Madison. She attended and graduated from Viroqua High School in 1963. She then attended University of Wisconsin- La Crosse and received a degree in Social Work, She later went on to obtain her Master’s Degree. On August 12th, 1967 she married Maynard Vikemyr at the Methodist church in Viroqua. After they were married they spent many years farming near Springville. She was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church. Pat enjoyed playing cards, especially solitaire. She also loved to read and had a talent for knitting and crocheting. Pat spent 37 years as a social worker. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by two daughters: Nancy (Tim) Wilson, and Kristina (Kenny Philips) Vikemyr; and grandchildren: Alex Vikemyr, Jenny Reagan, and Jonathan Lockington. She is also survived by three sisters: Janette Vance, Karen Minett, and Ann (Don) Scott. She is also survived by any other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Maynard Vikemyr; two brothers-in-law: Kent Minett and Vernon Vance, as well as other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 13th, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the Thorson Funeral Home in Viroqua with Pastor Pete Beckstrand officiating.
