Beverly Kay Kout, age 81 passed away at the Bland Bekkedal Center for Hospice Care on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. She was born on November 4, 1936 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Lawrence and Ann (Verbance) Kout. She grew up with her sister Betty Ann and brothers Boyd Lee and Robert Dean. When she was a teenager she moved to Topeka, Kansas and lived on a farm with her Aunt and uncle. Later on she moved to a farm in Yuba, Wisconsin with her Dad. She enjoyed raising their beef cattle, working in the garden and horseback riding on her horse Raf. She loved baking and her specialty was apple pie. She was also a very talented artist. She spent the last 35 years residing in Viroqua, Wisconsin. She made many wonderful friends in this community and had a very special friend Carol. Together they spent their time at the local orchards, farmers markets and dined out often at Borgen’s Cafe or Dunham's Cafe. They also enjoyed an annual weekend trip to Reedsburg, Wisconsin. On Sundays they attended the Assembly of God church where she was a member for 5 years. Beverly's cat Lucy was a wonderful companion for her when she was spending time in her home.
She is survived by her brother Robert Dean Kout and her brother-in-law Rudy Rogutich, both from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 7 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Then also, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Brother Boyd and Sister Betty. The family appreciates the wonderful care she was given at the hospice. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 5th at 11 a.m. at the Thorson Funeral Home in Viroqua with Pastor Dave Allen officiating. Burial will take place in the Czech’s National Cemetery in rural Yuba. Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
