Bobbie J. (Bakkestuen) Pierce, 44, of Burnsville, MN passed away Saturday, February 17th, 2018 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN. Bobbie was born June 27th, 1973 in LaCrosse, WI to Michael and Mary (Dach) Bakkestuen. She went to one year of grade school in Germany when her father was stationed in the U.S. Army there. Bobbie was a pretty girl, placing runner-up in the Wisconsin State Teen Pageant as a 16 year old. She ran track and was a cheerleader throughout high school, graduating from La Crosse Logan in 1991. She earned two certificates from Western Wisconsin Technical College in the 90s, Marketing and Paralegal Studies. She loved to talk to people, and excelled at APAC Customer Services for 12 years as a telemarketer. More recently she could be found in the middle of the crowd working concessions at the Twins games for the Delaware North Company. Bobbie was a free spirit who enjoyed watching pool tournaments, movies, listening to classic rock music and attending many rock concerts. She also really enjoyed walking her Shih Tzu friend “Snickers” every chance she got. She was a feisty Norwegian and proud of her heritage, hoping someday she could visit Norway in person. She was an honest and friendly girl, always willing to help people when she could. God saw that you were tired, and a cure was not to be, so He opened up his arms and said “Bobbie, come with me.” Rest easy my brown-eyed girl. We love you.
Bobbie is survived by her husband Shaun, son Evan J. Bakkestuen, daughter April J. Pierce, son Tyler R. Pierce, sister Darlene Guski and brother Michael Bakkestuen, her father Michael Bakkestuen, and many special cousins, aunts and uncles. Preceding her in death was her sister Michelle Bakkestuen, and her mother Mary (Dach) Bakkestuen.
