Dan always believed that life was as much about the journey as the destination. His greatest journey began the evening of June 23rd with his wife, and partner in all things for over 40 years, Brandy, at his side.
Dan was born in Chicago in 1952 and lived in that area until moving to Hillsboro Wisconsin 14 years ago. He enjoyed many interests during his life, including model railroading, gardening, good food, high-tech gadgets, shiny handguns, customizing and riding his 1996 Harley Softail, and rock-and-roll. Together with his wife Brandy, Dan owned and operated Blue Highway Motorcycle Lodge. The lodge was their dream realized, and designing, building and operating it was Dan’s passion. He was a skilled carpenter, electrician and plumber (when forced). Country life agreed with Dan and he loved watching wildlife, sitting in the woods, and enjoying the peace and quiet of his rural home.
Dan will be forever missed by his wife Brandy Smith-Vuich, mother LaVerne, sister Joanne, Kaiser, Willie and many family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Michael George Vuich and brother Michael John Vuich.
A celebration of Dan’s life will be held at a later date.
