Our sympathies to Butch, Lisa, Chris and their families. DeVerne was a wonderful doctor, husband and father. He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered.

 DeVerne was the co-Medical Director with his brother at Vernon Manor when I began my career there.  I remember having coffee with them after their rounds and having some interesting discussions.  I learned a lot from them.   It was a privilege  to know and serve him.  He was an intelligent,  kind, thoughtful man and with a quirky sense of humor.   I'm grateful to have known him.  Deepest sympathies to the family.

I know you know how much you and your Mom and Dad mean to me. Some of my best memories include our times together. Working with Dr DeVerne was a learning and satisfying experience in my nursing career. His dry sense of humor made me smile, always. You are in our thoughts and take me down memory lane.

When I was in medical school, there was never a question in my mind which specialty to pursue.  I wanted to be like my doctor, Dr. DeVerne, a family doctor.  I have a lot of work to do on my golf game, however.
