Delora A. Peterson of Viroqua passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Vernon Manor surrounded by family. She was born on May 2,1930 in Brush Hollow on the Oscar G. Adams farm; known now as the Serendipity Country Club to Charles and Hannah Adams. She attended Viroqua High School, graduating in 1948. After high school she worked at the hospital of Viroqua and then went into Certified Assistance Nursing Care. She worked for many years at Vernon Manor as a CNA and feeding specialist, she was well loved by co-workers and residents. She retired in September of 2004. She enjoyed art and enamel painting where she drew landscapes, wildlife, mirrors and milkcans. She was a great cook and baker. Delora loved the Lord, her favorite verse was John 3:16. She always had a smile and cared about people.
She is survived by her sons; Vaughn (Cindy) Weber of Massachusetts, and Kelly Weber of Wisconsin; daughters; Teresa Weber and Debbie Weber both of Wisconsin and a Stepson Myron (Linda) Peterson of Wisconsin; many grandchildren and step-grandchildren who she loved dearly, as well as other extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon L. Peterson in July of 1989; parents Charles and Hannah Adams as well as many family and relatives.
A service will be held at the Thorson Funeral Home in Viroqua at 1p.m. on Friday July, 31 2020 with Pastor Roy Tellier. Family and friends may call from 12 p.m until the time of service.
