Kyle Patrick Deegan

Kyle Patrick Deegan, age 28, of De Soto, passed away unexpectedly on April 18th, 2020 as a result of an ATV accident. He was born on October 23, 1991 to Michael & Tammy (Wittrock) Deegan in Reedsburg. He attended and graduated from De Soto High School in 2010. He had a career working for Birdnow Chevrolet in Monona, IA as finance manager. This simply sums up who Kyle was to everyone that knew him: “He had a spark like no other, with his encouraging words, infectious smile, and caring personality he could put a smile on everyone’s face, and with is loving hugs he could fill a very sad heart with mountains of joy. This was Kyle, to all he touched.” Kyle was currently on a journey to live a healthier lifestyle and was dedicated not only to his success but the success of others on the same journey. He had a love of snowmobiling, ATV riding, and also spending time on the river with friends and family. His main goal in life was to help people, and even in the tragedy of his loss, he was able to give the gift of life through organ donation and save the lives of several people. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. 

He is survived by his loving parents Michael & Tammy Deegan; siblings Alecia (Joe) Jacobson, Justine Deegan (Dean), Ryan Deegan, Brielle Deegan; nieces & nephews Callaway, Finley, Aven, Zoey, Beckett, Miller, Grace, and Hannah; paternal grandparents Richard & Charlene Deegan. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Patricia Williamson & John Wittrock, as well as other family.

A Drive-Thru Visitation to honor Kyle will be held on Saturday, April 25th, 2020 from 2-4 p.m. at the Lansing Marina in Lansing, IA. Family and friends may enter the visitation line on N. Front St (Near Shep’s Riverside, please watch for signs.) Kyle’s family ask that all who attend, please write a memory or note about Kyle.
