Scott Gary Barker, age 56, of Mauston formerly of DeSoto passed away on Saturday September 5th, 2020 doing what he truly enjoyed, riding his Harley. Scott was born on August 27th, 1964 in Viroqua, WI to Gary and Bernadine (Helke) Barker. Scott lived his life mainly in Wisconsin with a short time in Arizona. Most of his life he worked as a truck driver. Earlier in his life he worked in a sawmill. Scott loved to fabricate and build things, he very much enjoyed his woodworking ability also. Yes, Scott could be very bullheaded and stubborn at times, but if you needed help with something, he was always there. The past seven years he enjoyed driving truck for Kwik Trip. Scott also loved to fish, as kids you could find Scott and Kevin with a line in their hands. Scott was a member of the Frozen Butt Motorcycle Club of the Mauston area.
Scott is survived by one brother; Kevin (Penny Nelson) Barker of Viroqua, A sister; Theresa (David) Klick of Beloit. One niece Harley Barker of Richland Center, and two nephews; Zach Barker and Josh Barker, both of Viroqua. He is also survived by many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Gary and Bernadine Barker. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12th, 2020 at the Thorson Funeral Home in Viroqua from 9-11a.m. Burial will follow at the Walnut Mound Cemetery in Retreat.
